Advantech and Jianke Technology have reached a strategic cooperation to create a zero-carbon future

Jul. 08, 2024

On July 5, Advantech and Changzhou Institute of Building Science Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jianke Co., Ltd.") signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Advantech Industrial Internet of Things Business Group General Manager Cai Qinan, Deputy General Manager Li Jingen, Jianke Co., Ltd. Vice President Huang Haikun and Jianke Co., Ltd. Research Institute Vice President Dr. Gu Lei attended the signing ceremony.

The cooperation between Advantech and Jianke Co., Ltd. is a deep integration and collision of two leading companies in the field of energy-carbon applications. The two parties will create integrated energy-carbon services in industries such as energy and carbon integration solutions, application solutions, integrated products, and application services. Advantech and Jianke Co., Ltd. plan to cooperate on key benchmark projects in the Jianke Institute Inspection and Testing Headquarters Project and Advantech Kunshan Factory Project to build smart near-zero carbon buildings and smart near-zero carbon factory models, and work together to develop more high-potential application scenarios based on the complementary advantages of both parties.

Cai Qinan, general manager of Advantech (China) Industrial Internet of Things Business Group, said that the two parties intend to conduct in-depth cooperation in the field of energy-carbon applications and jointly create an industry model of "1+1>2", and are committed to launching more than 5 near-zero carbon parks, more than 100 enterprises, factories, and public buildings every year. Energy-carbon integration solutions, and through the integration of innovative application product cooperation directions to tackle tough problems.

In recent years, my country has frequently issued relevant policies to promote the implementation of dual carbon work around energy conservation and carbon reduction. In July last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the "Implementation Plan for Carbon Peaking in the Industrial Field", requiring the creation of green and low-carbon industrial parks, guiding the upgrading and transformation, and creating "zero-carbon factories". As an important population and industrial gathering area, the park's carbon emissions account for 31% of the country's total carbon emissions. The energy-saving and low-carbon development of the park plays an important role in my country's realization of the "dual carbon" goals.

Of course, whether it is a park or an enterprise, energy and carbon management has become an important part of reducing costs and increasing efficiency. By establishing a digital energy and carbon management platform that meets their actual conditions, it will help to effectively respond to policy and market changes externally and achieve lean management of energy conservation and emission reduction internally.

From the actual situation, whether it is a building, a factory or a park, in the process of low-carbon transformation, "being in the dark" about carbon data has always been a major difficulty. They roughly know which link and which equipment has the highest energy consumption, but they know nothing about the actual carbon footprint, often miss details, and it is even more difficult to grasp the effect data of carbon reduction in real time. Therefore, under the comprehensive solution of the whole scene, "energy and carbon integration" is the key.

Advantech's integrated energy and carbon solution first obtains the energy consumption data of each device through IoT technology, and then converts it into carbon data, so that enterprises can grasp the carbon footprint of the entire chain in real time; then, based on the acquired carbon data, energy consumption forecasts and structural optimization are carried out to form solutions and promote energy and carbon synergy. Carbon data comes from the energy-consuming equipment side. After a round of diagnostic analysis, it is applied to the equipment side to form a control closed loop and realize comprehensive energy and carbon management.
